The midwife supports our patients throughout their pregnancy, liaising with our GPs and the hospital services where appropriate.

Healthy Start

**From the 1st of October 2018, Pregnant Women in NHS Ayrshire & Arran can get their free flu vaccination from Maternity Services.  Most flu vaccinations this coming flu season will be given at Ayrshire Maternity Unit.  If you have any questions please speak with your community midwife or contact the Maternity Assessment Unit on 01563 825300 to book an appointment.  The flu vaccine can be given at any time during your pregnancy and it is the best protection against catching the flu this winter.**
